About APAC Robyn Hackathon

Robyn -  is an open sourced Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) R-package, developed by Meta Marketing Science team. It enables dynamic and actionable marketing decision making by modernizing MMM with machine learning techniques.

APAC Robyn Hackathon (Online) invites data scientists, marketing analysts, and MMM practitioners to build next generation marketing decision making solutions with Robyn. We are looking forward to unlocking new experiences and applications of Robyn with the power of innovative techniques, useful features, creative visualization and many more.

What to Build

We will offer two tracks for the hackathon challenge, (1) Visualization, (2) Innovation track.

In the visualization track, we expect to see efforts to improve Robyn's visualization. The following are examples but not limited to. e.g. upgrade current Robyn output plots, create a new visualization, create dashboards or advertiser interfaces

Innovation track

The subject can be a wide range of applications and innovative use cases with Robyn, from modeling, validation of results, deep diving into Robyn’s output, etc. The proposed solution can be combined with other analytical methods or open sources. The following are examples but not limited to:

  • Experiment with advanced modeling structure, e.g. nested model for brand & sales
  • Validation of marketing effectiveness by combining the insights from MMM and the causal inference framework (e.g. using Meta GeoLift or other packages)
